“Do something Big.” An unspoken Ask whispers to our hearts. Hello, courage!

”Yes, I need to figure out what I really want to do.”  Big.

“I’m not sure I can face this impending loss.” Big.

“My career has been successful. It’s time to move on.” Big.

Just as one person’s beach vacation is another individual’s trek to Nepal,

The Big is defined individually.

Each of us has a calling, evolved through life’s experiences, personality, skills, talents and our DNA, perhaps over generations.

Big does not always mean “accomplishment”. Some of life’s sweetest moments are unexpected and intimate: a stranger’s greeting, an impromptu toast, the opportunity to quietly volunteer, holding a hand of someone in-need, sharing “I Love You”, healing a relationship. Big.

An underlying requirement of any Huge is courage. A significant act requires gumption and more. Let’s start with courage.

Dang- it’s not always easy to be a matador fending off the scary bull.

Don’t be deterred. You are worthy! Your life is gigantic. This is your life now, no one else’s. Take a breath, set your sites ahead and GO!

Stomach hurt? Here are some humble, “finding courage” tips for The Big Journey.

Pay attention to what’s real.

Fearful voices love to tell us “Don’t Go There”! Cultivate a set of mindfulness practices to lesson scary thoughts and sort the truth.

Remember you’re not alone.

This isn’t a religious statement. The universe is more than we can ever imagine. Our interconnectedness is tighter than we know. The inner world is a massive tapestry guided by light that can’t be narrowed. No matter how dire, there is always love. Draw from it.

When something happens and it wasn’t something you sought out (such as delivering your father’s eulogy to a packed church, reigning in emotions, serving others in their grief; Or beating cancer because you were lucky)…

Dig deep. You’re incredibly capable.

What’s The Big journey calling you now?
