Maybe we’d cancel the trip, the Big One to Africa. For many weeks my energy lagged. Naps in the afternoon while work trickled almost to a stand still. Stomach upset, headaches and uncertainty. Life slowed.
During those limited hours my focus became razor-sharp. Each day I asked, “What’s most important today?” and tended to less onerous yet still important tasks.
Luckily my body was strong and eventually doctors solved the illness. Unlike many truly ill people fighting to stay alive, presto, my health improved.
With huge gratitude, my mind said “Full speed ahead”.
My heart replied, “Maybe not…slow is good.”
- Slowing Down enables more noticing about what creates ease and feels aligned. Joy naturally ensues. There’s nothing “WooWoo” here. When In The Zone, contentment (and revenue) follow. Life is happier and there can be even some balance. Imagine!

Just as there’s uncertainty in life, when we direct our ambition in a more somatic, intentional and grateful way, our imagination fires. We have clarity.
A trip becomes a Lifetime memory and not a Must-See frenzy.
We can only care for ourselves, communities and Mother Earth when we bring consciousness to our daily living and travel decisions. It’s better not to wait until your routine is interrupted and instead focus on living a life you love.
